CareSource ranks No. 1 in customer satisfaction
DAYTON, Ohio, May 21, 2003 –– CareSource, Ohio's largest Medicaid managed health care plan, was rated best in Ohio in overall customer satisfaction in a recent state-sponsored survey. Results were recently released by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
CareSource received an average score of 8.58 from its consumers when asked to rate their overall satisfaction with their health plan on a scale of 0 to 10. This was the highest rating in the state and represents an increase from the previous year’s score of 8.4.
“We are extremely pleased with the survey results,” said Pamela Morris, CareSource President and CEO. “There is no higher measure of performance than the satisfaction of our consumers.”
The survey asked over 3400 consumers from six Medicaid managed care plans across Ohio a variety of questions about their experiences and satisfaction with their health plan and their health care. The survey was conducted by the ODJFS between November 2002 and January 2003.
