CareSource Management Group seeks URAC accreditation
DAYTON, Ohio, March 29, 2005 – CareSource Management Group (CSMG), a leading Medicaid managed care services company based in Dayton, Ohio, has applied for health plan accreditation from URAC, a Washington, D.C.-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.
URAC’s health plan accreditation standards offer a comprehensive assessment of health plan performance and apply to health care systems such as HMOs that provide a full range of health care services. URAC accreditation has been recognized as the leading industry standard by 34 states and the federal government, and URAC has accredited almost 70 health plans covering 120 million people.
CSMG has applied for URAC accreditation for CareSource, a nonprofit Medicaid managed care plan that serves more than 352,000 members in Ohio, and Community Choice Michigan, a nonprofit Medicaid managed care plan that serves more than 48,000 members in Michigan.
