2004 Press Releases

CareSource appoints vice president of decision support and informatics

DAYTON, Ohio, March 24, 2004 – CareSource, Ohio’s largest Medicaid managed health-care plan, has appointed Robert W. Gladden as its Vice President of Decision Support and Informatics.

In this newly created position, Gladden will work with senior managers to identify the information CareSource needs to give the best, most appropriate care to its members, and then supply that information by compiling data from provider claims and developing a series of computer tools to mine the data for information. To do this, he will oversee development of a new data warehouse at CareSource, along with a catalog of technical and statistical reports.

Gladden has 22 years of experience in all aspects of health care, including provider organizations, managed-care plans, management companies and consulting services. Before coming to CareSource, Gladden was Assistant Vice President of Finance and Accounting and Senior Director of Decision Support at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare in Evanston, Ill.

“Bob has worked in all aspects of the health-care industry, including roles in management, information systems, analytics and finance,” said CareSource President and CEO Pamela Morris. “We think this gives him a unique perspective that will help him align the information technology and clinical care aspects of CareSource.”

Gladden has a bachelor’s degree from West Liberty State College in West Liberty, W.V., and a master’s degree from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. He and his wife, Jorja, have five children.
