Executive Team
Pamela Morris, President and Chief Executive Officer Pamela Morris has 30 years of executive-level experience in managed health care and the public sector. She headed the team that developed and launched CareSource (then Dayton Area Health Plan) in 1989, and has served as its president and chief executive officer ever since. From the success of CareSource, Morris also developed and launched CareSource Management Group. Her vision and experience play a key role in the development of management group services. Morris has a bachelor's degree in political science and public administration from West Virginia University.
Dan Paquin, Chief Operating Officer Daniel Paquin has more than 15 years senior-level experience in Medicaid and Medicare, as well as experience in long-term care. His leadership of care management, network operations, sales and marketing supports our expansion. Paquin has served as senior vice president of operations for Fidelis Senior Care in St. Louis, Missouri, and held executive positions with Centene Corporation, AmeriChoice Health Services, Comprehensive Care Corporation and the Devereux Foundation. Paquin has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of New England, a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Southern Illinois University, and a master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University.
Pamela Sedmak, Chief Financial Officer Pamela Sedmak offers a unique financial perspective on managed health care with her extensive background. Sedmak has more than 22 years of senior- and executive-level financial management experience for large companies in a variety of industries including healthcare and financial services. At CSMG, she plays a key role in strategic financial planning for operations and business development. Sedmak holds a bachelor’s degree in financial management from the University of New Mexico and completed her MBA in executive management at Case Western Reserve University.
Craig Thiele, M.D., Chief Medical Officer Dr. Craig Thiele brings more than 16 years of clinical leadership experience with a strong background in case and disease management. He oversees clinical and quality initiatives at CareSource Management Group and manages medical policy, clinical care guidelines, utilization parameters, and quality assurance for CareSource Management Group health plans. He coordinates medical oversight and acts as principal advisor to our clients' health plans and clinical programs. His background includes senior director of clinical affairs, national medical executive experience, internal medicine specialty and prior medical director experience. Dr. Thiele received his clinical training at the Wright State University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine.
Michael Knellinger, Chief Information Officer With more than 20 years of experience in information technology and systems, Michael Knellinger is at the helm of CareSource Management Group's computer systems, software, networks and security. He directs the implementation and maintenance of leading-edge technology for clients and our own health plans, creating the infrastructure needed for the most efficient and effective technology applications for the managed care industry. Knellinger has a bachelor's of science degree in secondary education with a major in physics from the University of Dayton, and he has completed significant coursework toward a master's degree in computer science from the same institution.
Janet Grant, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Regulatory Affairs Janet Grant has more than 25 years of leadership experience across the health care spectrum including managed care, hospital administration and geriatric services. At CSMG, she is responsible for the development of business growth strategies and new products, in addition to regulatory and government affairs and corporate compliance, serving as the Corporate Compliance Officer. Grant holds a bachelor's degree in social work from Moorhead State University in Minnesota and an MBA from Wright State University.
